(b) Capt Vikram Batra, PVC (from Palampur) Military service He led one of the toughest operations in the mountain warfare in the Indian military history during the 1999 Kargil conflict and was awarded the Param Vir Chakra (Posthumously).
(c) Rifleman Sanjay Kumar, PVC (from Bilaspur) Military Service Remembered for his courage and gallantry while trying to recapture the Mushkoh valley during the 1999 Kargil operations. He is a living recipient of PVC, a rarity in the Indian military history.

(h) The Great Khali (From Sirmaur Dist) Pro-Wrestling He is an international wrestler who became a celebrity overnight after defeating the world champion Undertaker. He was ranked 83 of the Top 500 single wrestlers in the PWI 500 in 2008. He won WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP in WWE .
(i) Samresh Jung (from Dist- Sirmaur) Shooting For his excellence in various international shooting events he was warded the ARJUNA AWARD by the Government Of India in 2002. He was also awarded “DAVID NIXON AWARD” (as the best athlete of the games) in ‘Commonwealth Games’ in which he won 5 Gold Medals,1 silver, and 1 bronze each for the country in 2006.  
(j) Shiva Keshavan (From Dist-Kullu) Winter sports He is the First Indian Representative to compete in `WINTER OLYMPIC GAMES`. He holds a world record for being the “YOUNGEST EVER OLYMPIAN“..  
(k) Ajay Thakur (From Nalagarh, Dist- Solan) Kabaddi He is one of the “Best Indian Raiders” of all time which is a great achievement for a player. He was the Star player and ” Man Of The Tournament ” in Kabaddi World Cup in 2016 because of his outstanding performance. He was also a Key Player in the Indian Kabaddi Team that won the Gold Medal at Incheon in ‘ASIAN Games’ in 2014
(l) Vijay Kumar ( From Barsar, Dist- Hamirpur) Shooting He is presently serving for Indian Army as Subedar Major in the Dogra Regiment. He won total 5 Gold Medals in ” Commonwealth Games ” in which 2 Gold Medals in 2006, Melbourne. And 3 Gold Medals in Delhi in 2010. And 1 Silver Medal in ‘ASIAN GAMES’ in 2010.
(m) Sushma Verma Cricketer Sushma Verma is a wicket- keeper and Right Hand Batsman in the India Women’s National Cricket Team. She is the first Cricketer from Himachal to represent India in International Cricket. Recently she gave an outstanding performance in Women’s World Cup against Pakistan which helped Team India in winning the match.
(n) Dicky Dolma Mountaineering Dicky Dolma is a mountain climber and Guinness Book Of World Record winner for THE FIRST YOUNGEST WOMAN TO SUMMIT MOUNT EVEREST at the age of 19 on May 10, 1993. > This moment occurred on the Indo- Nepal Women’s Everest Expedition and this Expedition was led by the first woman from India to summit Mt. Everest, Mrs. Bachendri Pal.  
(o) Jagdish Chander (From Dist- Chamba) Military service He was an ex Sepoy of Indian Army who was deployed in the DSC platoon at Air Force Pathankot. On 02 Jan 16 during terrorist attack at the base he killed one terrorist with bare hands which earned him Kirti Chakra posthumously.
(p) Sita Gussain ( From Nahan, Dist- Sirmaur) Hockey She was the member of the Team who won the Gold Medal at the Manchester in 2002 in Commonwealth Games. She was also a member of 2002 “Champions Challenge ” in Johannesburg in which Team India won the Bronze Medal.  
(q) Tenzin Gyatso (From Mc Leodganj) Spiritual Leader The Noble Prize winner for peace, Tenzin Gyatso is the 14th (and the current) Dalai Lama. He is the highest monk of his community and well known worldwide for his advocacy of the Tibetan Buddhism, his spirituality and his sincere interest in the modern science.
(r) Mohit Chauhan (From Dist- Sirmaur) Singer Formerly famed as a pop singer, he has won many awards as a playback singer and is loved for his melodious voice. He is very popular among young generation.
(s) Charanjit Singh (From Mairi) Hockey Holds pride of serving as the captain of the Indian Hockey team that won the gold medal in the 1964 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.  
(t) Ruskin Bond (From Kasauli) Fiction writer An Indian author of British descent well known name with children and adults alike. He has stretched out some fantastic characters and stories like Room on the Roof, A Face in the Dark, The Blue Umbrella and many more of which many have a plot rooted in the pahari region of Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand. He is Padma Shree, Padma Bhushan and Sahitya Academy award winner author.
(u) Kinkri Devi (From Sirmaur Dist) Social Activist She is remembered for her fierce protest against illegal mining and quarrying in her native state.
