Admission
Sainik School admits students in Classes VI & IX. Their age should be 10–12 years as on 31 March for Class VI and 13–15 years as on 31 March for Class IX.
The scheme of entrance examination for admission to Classes VI & IX includes a written examination and a medical examination. Candidates who qualify in the written exam are called for medical assessment based on the number of available vacancies.
Admission is subject to the candidate being medically fit as per the standards prescribed for entry to the National Defence Academy. However, variables like height and weight (which change with age) are not strictly considered.
Reservation
Reservation of seats is done as per the Sainik Schools Society Rules and Regulations.
